"Thor" actor Tom Hiddleston has shared his thoughts on the possible growth of his character in Marvel's Cinematic Universe.
Hiddleston is playing the iconic Norse god of the underworld in Marvel's "Thor." In his interview with Coming Soon to promote Guillermo del Toro's upcoming horror film "Crimson Peak," Hiddleston said that he talked with his co-star Chris Hemsworth about how their characters might have changed in future Marvel films because it had been five years since they played their Asgardian characters.
In Alan Taylor's "Thor: The Dark World," Loki left a cliffhanger by disguising as his father Odin while talking to his brother Thor and transforming back to his real identity, revealing that he did not actually die in Svartalfheim.
Meanwhile, Thor decided to go back to Asgard in Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which indicates that he could see the adversity his brother Loki had created, as per Cinema Blend.
By linking the events in Taylor's "Thor: The Dark World" and Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," it is assumed that Hiddleston will reprise his character Loki in "Thor: Ragnarok." In fact, Loki appearing in Marvel's third "Thor" film installment makes him one of the undisputable villains fans have ever seen in Marvel's Cinematic Universe. However, the extent of his character's development is yet to be revealed.
In addition to his role in the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok," Hiddleston is also set to appear in Jordan Vogt-Roberts' action adventure film "Kong: Skull Island" and Guillermo del Toro's fantasy horror film "Crimson Peak."
Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Nov. 3, 2017. Meanwhile Vogt-Roberts' "Kong: Skull Island" is set to be released on March 10, 2017 while del Toro's "Crimson Peak" hits theaters on Oct. 16, 2015.
