‘Thor: The Dark World’ Actor Zachary Levi Says Marvel Actors Can Play More Than One Role

Marvel actors could not be limited to only one role in Marvel's Cinematic Universe, according to "Thor: The Dark World" actor Zachary Levi.

In his interview with Den of Geek to promote his appearance in the upcoming television series "Heroes Reborn," Levi said that he had some discussions with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and he was told that his role as Fandral in Alan Taylor's "Thor: The Dark World" would not impede him from playing another Marvel character.

Levi also cited some names of actors who have multiple Marvel roles. One example is Chris Evans, who played The Human Torch in Tim Story's "Fantastic Four" in 2005. After that, Evans has built his name attached to the iconic Avenger Captain America.

According to Cinema Blend, the character an actor is playing is not the query to one's distinctiveness in Marvel's Cinematic Universe, but it is how it is explained. For instance, Paul Bettany lent his voice as J.A.R.V.I.S. in Marvel's "Iron Man" and "The Avengers" films. Then, things changed when he suddenly shared the big screen with Earth's Mightiest Superheroes as The Vision in Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Aside from Taylor's "Thor: The Dark World," Levi is also known for his roles in Terry Minsky's television series "Less Than Perfect" and Chris Fedak and Josh Schwartz's action crime television series "Chuck." He also voiced Flynn Rider in Nathan Greno and Byron Howard's animated comedy film "Tangled."

As for his future projects, Levi will be part of Tim Kring's fantasy television mini-series "Heroes Reborn" and will reprise his role as Flynn Rider in Shane Prigmore and Chris Sonnenberg's television series "Tangled."

For Levi, he had no idea if there is a Marvel role is waiting for him; however, he would not think twice should the studio tap him to play one. After all, his talk with Feige could be an indication of his possible new role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
