Robert De Niro showed his no-nonsense attitude once again when he stormed out of an interview session with the Radio Times after saying that the journalist was asking him questions with a "negative inference".
The incident happened when the Oscar-winning actor was promoting his upcoming movie "The Intern" when he suddenly got offended over a couple of questions asked by the interviewer, Emma Brockes. She claimed that her question about Tribeca, which is home to the New York film festival he co-founded, being overrun by bankers and another about him being not getting into an auto-pilot mode while on the sets apparently angered the 72-year-old actor.
The veteran actor told Brockes to switch off her recorder before declaring the interview was over, citing "negative inference." She, however, tried to pursue further by asking what exactly offended him when he replied by saying "The whole way through and I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it, darling," The Guardian reported.
Brockes was admittedly astonished at the actor's outburst and branded him as "condescending."
It seems that the day-long interview sessions with foreign press had taken a toll on the actor who is keeping busy these days to promote his upcoming movie, starring Anne Hathway. The 32-year-old actress will be playing the role of the founder and CEO of a fashion based e-commerce company, who agrees to a community outreach program where the seventy-year-old retired widower, played by De Niro, joins her as an intern.
Meanwhile, the actress rocked a semi-sheer Rodarte 2015 fall gown at the premier of the movie held at Ziegfeld Theater in New York on Sept. 21, Monday, Hollywood Life reported. The movie is set to release on Sept. 25.
