Elizabeth Banks has shared her thoughts on whether the "Charlie's Angels" film reboot will be R-rated or not.

In her interview with Cinema Blend to promote the home video release of Brian Wilson's biopic "Love & Mercy," Banks said that she loved to see the new "Charlie's Angels" in R-rating as an actress. She also mentioned that she was a "dirty-minded" and "foul mouthed" person that she found it challenging to helm a PG comedy film.

Banks said that the film rating was not a primary concern to her when she was working on something. For the actress-turned-filmmaker, there should be a good collaboration among the studio, the filmmaker, and the financier. She added that the movie audience should be considered prior to helming the film.

Banks is in talks to helm the film. As per Stack, the director has been eyed to take the director's seat following the success of her musical comedy film "Pitch Perfect 2," which was released on May 15.

Aside from "Pitch Perfect 2," Banks is also set to helm a comedy television movie "The Greater Good." She is set to appear in the television series "Moonbeam City," "Pitch Perfect 3," and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2."

"Charlie's Angels" initially started as a 1970s television series, starring Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson, and Jaclyn Smith. A cinematic adaptation of "Charlie's Angels" was helmed by McG and starred Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu as the titular detective team.

Since "Charlie's Angels" is still in its early phase of development, exact details on the plot, characters, cast, and release date are yet to be revealed.
