According to International Business Times,  "Jurassic World 2" will be inspired by Alan Grant's (Sam Neill) quote from the original movie, "Dinosaurs and man, separated by 65 million years of evolution, have been thrown back into the mix together. How can we know what to expect?"

Trevorrow pointed out that in the same way, the scripting team used an Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) quote for the July action film. He said, "It's 'You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you knew what you had, you patented it, you packaged it, slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you want to sell it.'"

"That to me is 'Jurassic World,'" Trevorrow added. "That's why I had all the product placement. That's what it was."

Furthermore, the director revealed that the upcoming sequel will focus on the association between human being and animals. The story will be about developing a larger perspective of human relationships with animals and the dynamics that come along with bringing them back to life.

Initially, Trevorrow had hinted that "Jurassic World 2" might portray dinosaurs being utilized beyond just a mere theme park attraction. In an interview with Wired, the director said, "I feel like the idea that this isn't always going to be limited to theme parks, and there are applications for this science that reach far beyond entertainment."

According to Trevorrow, when considerations are given to the nuclear power and how it began, the initial plan was to weaponise it before realizing that it could serve for energy production. There are no further details concerning the upcoming film but the director assured fans that it will have a different title.
