Pope Francis is living up to his stature as the rock star of the Roman Catholic Church. Beyond the millions of crowds he attracted in Cuba and the U.S., the pontiff is reviving the faith of Catholics via the album "Wake Up!" that he would release on Nov. 27.

The rock album, which surely would be a bestseller, is in collaboration with music label Believe Digital. NBC reports that the music compilation would have a wide range of tunes from pop-rock to Gregorian chants. It has 11 tracks that includes some of the pope's speeches in different languages such as Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and English.


His speeches cover topics such as peace, dignity and helping the poor, according to Believe Digital which says it got Vatican's approval for the album's release.

It could be pre-ordered on iTunes. The carrier single, "Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward!" is already available on SoundCloud.

The single was Pope Francis's address to a South Korean audience in English in 2014, reports Rolling Stones which broke the news of the pontiff's album. Don Giulio Neroni is the producer and artistic director of the album.


He was the producer and artistic directors too of the past popes, namely John Paul II and Benedict XVI.
