"Modern Family" season 7 premiered on Wednesday night with an even more mature Alex (Ariel Winter).

This week, Alex is ready to transfer to her own place to be much closer to her school. However, Phil (Ty Burrell) and Claire (Julie Bowen) will smother her with too much love and attention that she does not really like.

With this, Alex will lie to her parents about the date when she is supposed to transfer to her new place.

According to TV Guide, Phil will become more emotional over the fact that Alex will be leaving their home for college. Claire, on the other hand, will be a little bit more reserved.

Meanwhile, "Modern Family" season 7 episode 2 will also focus on Haley (Sarah Hyland) and Andy's (Adam DeVine) feelings for each other.

In the premiere episode, Haley found out that Andy is already engaged so she psyched herself to forget about him.

However, Phil and Claire were talking about the time Haley went to run after Andy, only to find him kneeling in front of his girlfriend.

Unfortunately, Andy heard the conversation, and one month later he suffered from too much stress and gained weight.

In an interview with Yahoo TV, "Modern Family" co-creator Christopher Lloyd revealed that there will be more storylines about Haley and Andy in season 7.

However, whether or not they will officially get into a relationship is what fans need to watch out for in the upcoming episodes.

"Modern Family" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
