Hero+ can shoot video at up to 1080p and can achieve 60 frames per second. It can also shoot 8-megapixel photos, as well as high-action bursts and time-lapse scenes (seven 0.5-second time-lapse interval setting). The action camera is also able to shoot 8MP photos and offers high-action bursts and time-lapse scenes. It also features loop record to use dash cam easier and it supports GoPro's HiLight Tagging, which allows users to quickly mark a section of the video for easier editing later on.

It can connect to a smartphone via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, where users can view and edit all the captures photos and videos. The wireless connectivity is also used to connect to an iOS, Android or Windows mobile device to use GoPro's app to control the camera, use smartphone to frame shots, and change settings as well as remotely preview and review shots and transfer them to a selected device for sharing.

It is worth noting that the camera has no built-in touchscreen controls. Its rugged design with a plastic housing, making it waterproof, allows Hero+ to drop 40 meters (131 feet) undersea.

The Hero+ will go on sale this Oct. 4 and the Hero4 Session’s price cut has already started, according to Wall Street Journal.
