"The Avengers" star Chris Evans revealed that he is not entirely closed to the idea of playing Captain America beyond "Avengers 3." However, some rumors show that Marvel might pass the shield to another character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which could be Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) or Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), The Falcon.

Mackie said at the Salt Lake Comic Con as reported by Comic Book Movie, "I don't think we need a new Cap. I don't think Cap needs to change. I think [Bucky] would be a great Cap, but then we're left without Bucky. I think I'd be a great Cap, but then we're left without a Falcon."

Although Mackie made his point on the matter clear, Stan contradicted by saying that Bucky should at the end become the next Captain America, International Business Times reported. During the event when Stan was asked who should be the next Captain, he was definite in his response, "Myself."

The actor continued by putting it clear that they sure like dangling a cheese in front of his nose. He said, "They're like 'Oh yeah, that's where you pick up the shield,' and I'm like, 'Yeah, I've heard that one before. There it is again.' But I don't know. If I could say one thing, if anyone can have anything to do with it, to make it happen, is you."

Fans should expect to see Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson, and Bucky Barnes taking on Team Iron Man in the next "Captain America 3." "Captain America 3" will be released on May 6, 2016.
