"Scandal" season 5 episode 2 will see Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) love fest come to a screeching stop the moment a footage leaks about the political fixer at the White House getting comfy with the President.
According to ABC, in "Scandal" season 5 episode 2, Olivia will be compelled to lay low and wear a disguise to keep off the tabloid photographers committed to getting a hot picture and dish on her love with President Fitz.
Sally Langston, former vice president, has been looking for means of bringing down the President, whom according to her is "immoral" in all his decisions and previous affair allegations. Olivia and Fitz initially avoided accusations of having an affair. During the time, Olivia's team of Gladiators solved the problem and pinned it on another woman, a staffer who had a crush on the President.
The forbidden love between Olivia and Fitz has been a rollercoaster ride in the previous four seasons. The President continues to proclaim his love for Olivia and his plans to exit the loveless marriage to first lady Mellie.
Season 4 saw Mellie doing the unthinkable. She collaborated with Olivia's father, Eli Pope, for political gain. From what happened in season 3, Eli was behind Fitz and Mellie's son killing. Mellie had no such news when she chose to help Eli, based on the blackmail request.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Shonda Rhimes dished on the changes eminent for Olivia in season 5. Rhimes said, "Olivia finds that every single thing about her life has changed in unexpected ways.
Concerning Olivia choosing Fitz, Rhimes added that Jake went on a journey that might destroy everything.
