Google just announced the Pixel C laplet to battle against the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Will it give Microsoft a run for its money?

Pixel C will be available in the holiday 2015, while Microsoft is set to announce the Surface Pro 4 and is expected to arrive later this year.

Below is the comparison of the announced specs and features of Google Pixel C against the rumored specifications of Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

Screen Display - The Google Pixel C sports a 10.2 inch screen with 2560x1800 pixel resolution, while the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is rumored to sport a 12-inch screen panel with 2K display resolution.

Processor and GPU - Google Pixel C is powered by NVIDIA Tegra X1 with NVIDIA Maxwell GPU, which is deemed as the processor for a gaming device. Rumors claimed that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be powered with the new Intel Skylake processor paired with double GPU. The candidate for SP4's graphics chip is Intel HD 530, which is the latest graphics chipset that arrived last month. Recent benchmark shows that the HD 530 doubles the performance of HD 440, which is found in Surface Pro 3. This is an essential feature for playing high graphics game.

Storage - Google's latest laplet device comes with 32GB or 64GB internal storage, while the Surface Pro 4 is expected to be available in 64GB and 128GB storage options.

Operating System - Coming from companies that both develop their own operating systems, the new devices will pack the respective OS of the Google and Microsoft - Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Pixel C and Windows 10 for Surface Pro 4.

Camera - Unfortunately, the Pixel C is reported to have no cameras, while the Surface Pro 4 will reportedly sport improved cameras on the back and front of the device.

Connectivity - The two laplets will both support WiFi and Bluetooth, but the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will also support faster LTE connections.

Port and Charging - Both devices will sport the new USB Type-C port.

Optional Features - Both devices will come with a detachable keyboard, while the Surface Pro 4 will also pack a stylus.
