The 11th movie in the Masashi Kishimoto manga inspired franchise was lauded by critics to be one of the best in the series, and it surpassed Viz Media's last offering, "The Last: Naruto the Movie," which was already highly impressive.

Piggybacking on the success of the movie, there are already talks with Lionsgate about a live-action adaptation of "Boruto: Naruto the Movie," with ex visual effects expert Michael Grace to direct alongside Avi and Ari Arad, Design and Trend confirmed.

Lionsgate might also be discussing movie rights with Kishimoto, but none of this has been confirmed as yet.

"Boruto: Naruto the Movie," which will be screened in 80 cities across the United States picks up Naruto's story as he serves as the Seventh Hokage, during the time the Hidden Leaf Village is gearing up to host the Chunin Exams which will train new shinobi.

Exam participants include Mitsuki, Sasuke's daughter Sahara, and Naruto's own son Boruto, whom he has little time for, and who is potentially gifted but contemptuous of his father.

Sasuke has a premonition of impending danger, which comes true when Momoshiki and Kinshiki, together with the Rinnegan, attack Naruto during the exam. He shields Boruto and Naruto protects both of them, then disappears.

A mission into another dimension is launched by Sasuke, Boruto and the Five Kage to search for answers.

More details of the movie will come soon alongside any new developments.
