A speedster from another universe is set to enter Barry Allen's world in "The Flash" Season 2.

New photos of Jay Garrick can be seen in Screen Rant. Along with his signature winged hat, Garrick sports a scarlet red jacket with a lightning bolt symbol in the photo. Fans have seen him emerging in the black hole at the conclusion of Season 1 and he seems to be facing off against someone in a warehouse in the photo.

In Season 2, Garrick joins Allen, along with Patty Spivot, who is a new detective working with Joe. Another photo shows Spivot tied in the chair in the same warehouse as Garrick, indicating that the new detective is in trouble.

Garrick's entry to Allen's universe suggests that the two speedsters are going to work hand in hand as partners, since previous trailers have revealed that Garrick has presumably reached Allen to warn him about the wicked speedster Zoom. While this is likely to happen in the series' second season, Garrick may turn out as Allen's another adversary in the long run.

"The Flash" Season 2 picks up after the incidents in Central City, as per Comic Book. Allen still finds it hard to absolve himself for Eddie's demise. In addition, he had chosen to defend the city while isolating himself from other people. Meanwhile, Iris tells Allen that he has to allow his friends aid him protect the people of Central City when the meta-human Atom Smasher attacks the city. Also, Cisco aids Joe with his Meta Task Force.

Directed by Ralph Hemecker, "The Flash" Season 2 Episode 1, entitled "The Man Who Saved Central City" hits the small screen on Oct. 6.
