United States Vice President Joe Biden's dying son's wish is for him to be the president.

This news story is no longer new as an article written by Maureen Dowd was published on the New York Times on Aug. 1 already revealed this piece of information.

Many political analysts believed that the article jumpstarted the speculation that Biden is planning to enter the presidential race and wants to take on Hillary Clinton as the standard bearer of the Democratic Party.

Reports claim that it was Biden himself who talked to Dowd. According to the story, Biden's son, Beau Biden, made his father promise to run for the presidency because "the White House should not revert to the Clintons and that the country would be better off with Biden values."

Dowd's New York Times column also quoted the younger Biden telling his father, "Dad, I know you don't give a damn about money."

In weeks following the publication of Dowd's article, rumors and speculation about Biden running for president in the 2016 election increased exponentially. The 72-year-old vice president also started to look for donors and supporters.

According to Politico, Biden met with Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren late in August. This led many political analysts to speculate that Biden is planning to include Warren in his prospective ticket. Biden hinted in succeeding interviews that Warren will be his vice president. However, Biden's office denied these claims.

According to New York Daily News a Biden spokesperson said, "The bottom Line on the Politico story is that it is categorically false and the characterization is offensive."
