Aside from Ang Lee's adventure drama film "Life of Pi," Netter is also known for producing Michael Mayer's adventure drama "Flicka," David Frankel's comedy drama "Marley & Me," and John Lee Hancock's sports drama "The Blind Side."

Created by Hank Ketcham, "Dennis the Menace" debuted on Mar. 12, 1951 as a syndicated newspaper strip. In 1959, "Dennis the Menace" hit the television starring "General Hospital" actor Jay North as Mitchell, along with "Parks and Recreation," and "The Waltons Actor" Herbert Anderson, among others.

In June 1993, "Dennis the Menace" hit the big screen with Nick Castle as director. It starred "Charade" actor Walter Matthau as Mr. George Wilson, "101 Dalmatians" actress Joan Plowright as Mrs. Martha Wilson, and "CSI: Miami" actor Mason Gamble as Mitchell.

In Charles T. Kanganis' 1998 film "Dennis the Menace Strikes Again," the titular character went back to the big screen with some bug friends and showed up uninvited in Wilson's birthday. It starred "Toy Story" actor Don Rickles as Wilson, "The Gambler" actor George Kennedy as Grandpa, and "The Practice" star Justin Cooper as Mitchell, among others.

One of the best incarnations of the show was DCI Entertainment's afternoon cartoon aired from 1986 to 1992. It starred "Saturday Night Live" actor Phil Hartman as Mitchell's father, Henry. According to Cinema Blend, if the actor were still alive, he could play Wilson in the upcoming project reboot.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the producers were looking for a screenwriter for the upcoming project, at this point. With the project in its early phase of development, exact details on the plot, characters, cast, and release date are yet to be revealed.
