While the release of the upcoming handheld Nintendo NX is still unknown, Nintendo confirmed that it will not replace the Wii U and 3DS upon its release.

Currently, Nintendo Wii U and 3DS are performing quite well like the PlayStation and Xbox in the console market, which has sparked the speculation that the Nintendo NX could replace 3DS and Wii U.

The gaming company indicated it could not speak on the specifics about the NX until 2016. It also guaranteed fans that its association with DeNA did not imply that they were relinquishing "home gaming" frameworks.

Since Sotaru Iwata, the former Nintendo's Chief Executive, said that Nintendo NX would not be a "basic" trade for Wii or the 3DS, Nintendo is reportedly chipping away at the console's idea. Doubtlessly, all the evidence shows that we may not be seeing the console until 2017.

Since this upcoming Nintendo NX is intended to get Nintendo back to its glorious days, fans have been communicating their wish list for the up and coming gaming console. Most fans are longing that the Nintendo NX will be a blend of comfort and portability.

Another gossip that turned out is that Nintendo NX will run on Android, which Nintendo exposed earlier this year. A spokesperson from Nintendo, however, told the Wall Street Journal that there was no truth to the report saying that they were willing to receive Android for NX.

Digi-Capital revealed that Nintendo NX is going to be an AR/VR social platform.

The Japanese gaming company has yet to declare the accurate release date of the Nintendo NX.
