Alleged photos of the new HTC One A9, which is scheduled for Oct. 20 launch, leaked online hinting that the handset copies Apple's iPhone 6 design.

The leaked shots are online courtesy of a Twitter tipster, @OnLeaks, and are the latest ones that show the One A9 (conceived as HTC Aero) from multiple angles leaving little to the imagination. As a whole, it is the iPhone 6 match as per the previous leaks.

According to Indian Express, the leaked pictures of HTC One A9 show similar aluminum uni-body design and raised camera hump. The curved aluminum uni-body has inlaid plastic lines for the antennas just like the iPhone 6, a raised circular camera hump, plus the oblong SIM and micro SD card tray along the side. Also, the machined speaker grills and 3.5mm audio jack suggest that everything is reminiscent of iPhone 6's design.

Despite previous speculations that promised HTC One A9 to be one of the most powerful smartphones in the world, it now looks like the HTC One A9 will have fairly modest specs. The handset is likely to feature a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display an octa-core Snapdragon 617 CPU, 16GB storage, 2GB of RAM, a 1080 x 1920 pixel 5-inch screen and a 13MP primary camera, Geek Snack reported.

The photos also reveal that HTC is changing its priorities this time around. The front-facing stereo BoomSound speakers are no more. They are replaced by little speaker holes on the bottom edge of the device. Also, the fingerprint sensor is now on the front, which seems like a better place for it, according to fans.
