Top teams Schalke (5-2-1, 16 points) and Hertha Berlin (4-2-2, 14 points) will try to retain their top four spots in the current Bundesliga 2015-2016 season as they battle one another at the Veltins-Arena on Saturday, October 17.

After winning four games in a row, Die Knappen was beaten by fifth-running FC Köln, 0-3, also at their home stadium of Veltins-Arena last October 4, as reported by Yahoo Sports.

Forward Anthony Modeste, midfielder Yannick Gerhardt, and striker Simon Zoller provided the three goals for Cologne, with the last two coming in the second half, to snap André Breitenreiter's winning streak.

Meanwhile, Die Alte Dame pulled off a 3-0 win over Hamburg at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on October 3 to extend their unbeaten run to three games, via SkySports.

Pál Dárdai are persisting with their good start to the year, winning their fourth game in eight tries, a marked improvement from their last season's 15th place finish.

Striker Vedad Ibišević had a brace for the capital city squad at the 76th and 78th minutes with forward Salomon Kalou opening the scoring at the 17th minute en route to the lopsided affair.

Hertha will carry over the momentum of the win against Schalke as the pair of Ibišević and Kalou up front will be fruitful once more.

Prediction: A close 2-1 win for Hertha Berlin.
