Toshiba has launched a new 2-in-1 notebook built around Windows 10, offering a reinvented pen and paper.
The 2-in-1 notebook is dubbed as DynaPad, which is designed to encourage creativity and replicate the feeling of putting pen to paper. It comes with a detachable keyboard, so it can function as both a traditional laptop as well as a standalone tablet. The 2-in-1 notebook features Microsoft's suite of apps, Toshiba’s TruNote, TruCapture, TruRecorder, and the new TruNote Clip and Share feature for capturing screenshots and sharing handwriting in real time, according to PCMag.
It has also a Wacom Active Electrostatics TruPen, capable of 2,048 levels of pressure, providing extreme accuracy whether the user is writing or drawing. TruPen works equally with both right handed or left handed users. It is also compatible with Microsoft's Office and Edge in addition to Toshiba's own suite of business apps.
DynaPad sports a 12-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1280 screen resolution and offers dual layers of both anti-reflection and anti-fingerprint coating. It will be powered by a 1.44 GHz Atom processor and 4GB of memory.
The best appeal of this notebook is the ability to function as a digital note taker and image creator. Users can gather, organize and share their notes, images and files. They can also capture screenshots and share their handwriting in real time.
The new DynaPad is available to preorder in Japan today, and it will be available in the United States in the first quarter of 2016, CNET reported. The possible price for DynaPad is less than $1080 (¥130,000) in Japan.
Meanwhile, consumers can also avail Satellite Radius 12, a 12.5-inch convertible laptop with a 4K Ultra HD display and a sixth-gen Intel Core processor. It sells at $999.99 via Best Buy and Microsoft Stores, or directly from Toshiba.
