Samsung is giving users in its home country a more attractive Galaxy Note 5 that comes in pink gold. The move comes as a diversion from the Apple's iPhone 6S launch in South Korea slated for Oct. 23 launch.
This week, the Galaxy developer announced that it will be releasing its Note 5 for $349.99 at Best Buy in two new colors: titanium silver and pink gold, according to CNET. While the pink gold model is attractive, this does not necessarily imply that the device is unique since leaked images reveal that it is very similar in color to Apple's rose gold iPhone 6S.
While fans may be excited about Samsung's rose-colored handset, the bad news is that there is no indication of the new models making their way to the United States. Currently, the models are launching in South Korea.
However, Samsung spokesperson told the same publication that the company will gradually expand the new color variants to other Asian countries over time. Note 5 enthusiasts from the U.S. and other parts of the world will have to wait a little longer to lay their hands on the pink gold phone.
Meanwhile, the sneaky Note 5 owner recently gave their handset some DIY makeover, making the back case completely clear for users to see inside. In a comment on Reddit, user Skarface08 revealed how to utilize a heat gun and suction cup to remove the back cover of the phone.
It is possible to completely remove the color film on the back case with a razor so easily. The danger is that removing the color film will probably void the warrant of the phone.
