Early this year, Fox announced that "American Idol" will be cancelled after season 15, which will premiere by 2016. Adam Lambert recently spoke about the network's decision and said that he was not at all sad that the show is about to end.

Speaking to Digital Spy, "The Original High" singer revealed that he felt "indifferent" about the cancellation. Although Lambert said that he was not at all affected about the news, he thanked "AI" for giving him the opportunity of a lifetime.

Lambert said that he owed his career to the show. He added that he may not be where he is right now if not for "American Idol."

In other news, Lambert just released the music video for his new single, "Another Lonely Night." Speaking to iHeart Radio, the singer shared that the video aimed to explore the motions of Vegas performers before, during and after each number.

Lambert shared that each entertainer struggled with the feeling of loneliness.

"I wanted to paint a picture that wasn't necessarily happy or sad, but showed the entire range in between," he added.

Lambert also revealed that he has his eyes set on Luke Gilford to direct the music video. He shared that they both knew each other years back but never got the chance to work together.

The singer called Gilford the "best director" for the theme he had in mind, saying that he had an "incredible eye for the unique." Lambert added that he has always admired the director's instinct and passion for the job.
