"The Flash" season 2 will have three new characters hinted to be Zoom's true identity, Hawkgirl's appearance and a new trailer featuring a new Firestorm.
New theories on the possible identity of season 2's main villain Zoom (Tony Todd) have been revealed. Zoom's identity has been the subject of numerous rumors and speculations from many comic books fans, letting their imagine run wild on the question of who the villain really is, from Edward Clariss/The Rival, Future Barry Allen to Eddie Thawne and Earth 2 Wally West. The latest batch of characters that could possibly be Zoom are the Earth 2 versions of Barry Allen and Harrison Wells and Hunter Zolomon, the third Reverse-Flash and Zoom's original identity in the DC comics, Moviepilot reported.
Earth 2 Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) could be a prime suspect since his personality might be different form Earth 1 Harrison Wells, who was killed by Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher). In episode 2 Wells' particle accelerator became a success and has manage to travel from Earth 2 to Earth 1 with sinister look on his face. Earth 2 Barry Allen could also be a possibility since Zoom's lightning is color blue similar to Future Barry Allen and his doppelganger is somehow been corrupted and begins killing off different speedsters in every world just to be the best.
Lastly, Zoom could be this show's version of Hunter Zolomon making live-action debut for the first time. Hunter was a former police officer who became crippled after a fight with Gorilla Grodd, and seeks The Flash/Wally West for help. The latter refused to do so because it involves time travel and changing something in past will have dire consequences in the present and future. This led to Hunter taking things his way and accident in the cosmic treadmill gave him his powers, which is manipulating time relative to himself making everyone slower, while the other perceive him to be fast, even faster than The Flash.
In the past episodes of "The Flash" it was revealed that Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) have fought numerous times in Earth 2 and his arrival came when Jay just got his powers.
In other news, "Legends of Tomorrow" cast member Ciara Renee teased that Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl will be making appearance on "The Flash" and "Arrow" soon. She told Screenrant that Kendra Saunders in "The Flash" season 2 will be a "new girl" of Central City as she tries to figure out who she really is as Renee explained that is something different about her character and will likely find out in future episodes.
There is also a new trailer promo for episode 4 which features Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) trying to help Prof. Martin Stein (Victor Garber) find a match for him to fuse with Firestorm matrix as he is experiencing dangerous side effects without his other haft. This leads to the team recruiting Jefferson "Jax" Jackson (Franz Drameh) to be the other haft of Prof. Stein, making him the new Firestorm.
