Taiwanese tech giant HTC Corporation recently unveiled its latest smartphone, the HTC One A9, after releasing the HTC One M9 handset earlier this year. Search engine giant Google, on the other hand, recenty launched the LG Nexus 5X handset worldwide.


Both phones are among the first devices to come with Google's latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system (OS) pre-installed. Here's a look at the difference between the two new devices in terms of the specs and features.

LG Nexus 5X

The LG Nexus 5X sports a 5.2-inch display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and oleophobic coating. The phone has a sharp 12.3 megapixel camera on the back and a 5 megapixel camera on the front.

Under the hood, the LG Nexus 5X packs a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 processor along with 2GB of RAM, up to 16GB/32GB internal memory storage, and powered by a 2,700 mAh battery.

In addition, the LG Nexus 5X comes with a fingerprint sensor and support for USB Type-C port connection. The colors available for this handset are carbon, ice and quartz, according to GSM Arena.

HTC One A9

The HTC One A9 sports a smaller 5.0-inch display screen with a 1080 1920 pixel resolution as well, protected by the latest Gorilla Glass 4. This handset comes with a slim metal frame with an elegant finish, according to HTC.

The HTC One A9 has a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera along with a 4 megapixel front-facing camera. Inside, there's Qualcomm's MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 processor accompanied by a 2GB RAM, a 16GB built-in memory, and a 2150 mAh battery.

In addition, the handset will also be available in a 3GB variant with a 32GB memory. The colors available for this phone are opal silver, carbon grey, deep garnet and topaz gold. The HTC One A9 smartphone has been available for pre-orders and is expected to arrive in the market sometime by early Nov.
