New England Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady, now 38 years old, recently said that he wants to play in the NFL for ten more years and he hopes that his team would still want him when that time comes.

"I want to play for a long time, maybe 10 more (years)," the four-time Super Bowl champion told reporters in a conference call, as per Bleacher Report. "Obviously, a team has to want you. I love playing this sport. I love making the commitment to my teammates and my coaches, and hopefully I can go for a long time."

The three-time Super Bowl and two-time league MVP previously rejected the idea of still playing for another decade, saying in a late September interview that the idea "might be a little bit of a reach at this point."

However, after defeating the Indianapolis Colts one more time last Sunday, ESPN noted that Brady "must have been feeling young" following his 23-of-37 for 312 yards passing performance that came with three touchdowns, one interception, and two sacks.

"It's not always up to me; (but) that's what my goals are," he said. "That's just what I'm hoping. It'll take a lot to achieve that."

Even at such an advanced age, the 10-time Pro Bowl player is showing no signs of losing his arm strength and overall knack for the game. So far this season, he has a passing accuracy of 70.6 percent and have made 14 touchdown passes with only one interception in five games for the unbeaten Patriots.

New England will host the AFC East second-running New York Jets at the Gillette Stadium on Sunday for a decisive divisional matchup.
