Former NBA player Lamar Odom went under the knife on Wednesday afternoon. The surgery, which used general anesthesia, is linked to his pneumonia.
People cites its source that Lamar, who was found unconscious last week due to drug overdose, is in a very fragile condition. He has an infection that is not getting better despite treatment with strong intravenous antibiotics.
According to TMZ, Lamar went through two emergency surgeries. Its sources said the medical procedures involved chest issues. The procedures made the athlete emotional, and there are times he is very upset.
Because of his current state, no visitors are allowed and only estranged wife Khloe Kardashian is allowed to enter Lamar's room. While keeping watch over Lamar, reports says that her sultry photoshoot for a new memoir just came out, although she possibly did it before Lamar's medical crisis.
Prior to the two surgeries, the publicist of JaNean Mercer, Lamar's aunt, said in a statement that the former Lakers player is starting to "gradually flourish both mentally and physically." Alvina Alston, the publicist, says that Odom's has been talking more and he is more cognitively responsive.
Results of lab tests of blood samples taken from Lamar, on the strength of a search warrant issued by Fifth Judicial District Judge Robert Lane in Nevada, are still pending. The court is not ruling out the possibility that action could be taken against the Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada, where Odom paid $75,000 for four days of party with two brothel workers or even Lamar whom a Nye County detective from the Sheriff's Office, says was under the influence of a controlled substance.
