Taika Waititi's upcoming Marvel Comics film "Thor: Ragnarok" is set to film in Australia.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Julie Bishop, MP told Foreign Minister that Marvel Studio's "Thor: Ragnarok," along with Ridley Scott's "Alien: Paradise Lost," would be filmed in Australia in 2016. The publication added that the announcement was assumed to lead more than $300 million investment to Australia's economy, not to mention people's access to over 3,000 jobs and services of Australian businesses.

According to Bishop, Australia's ingenious industries were correctly positioned to maximize the development of the global economy, along with his country promotion of the large international film titles.

Australian native and Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, reportedly sent a video message along with the announcement, as per Collider. In the video, Hemsworth said that he was extremely thrilled and it was amazing to witness the Prime Minister and the Australian government supports the creative industries. For the actor, filming in an exquisite country was not a concern, but the economic benefit it had for the people.

In previous reports, Valkyrie has been also reported to make her initial appearance in Marvel's Cinematic Universe via Waititi's upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok." But then, no specific details were revealed on how the superheroine would impact the film's storyline.

Meanwhile, "Thor: Ragnarok" will see Hemsworth reprise his role as Thor while Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Thor's wicked brother, Loki. Jaimie Alexander is also set to appear in the film, playing the role of Lady Sif.

Waikiki's "Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Nov. 3, 2017.
