Simon Cowell announced his return as a judge on the reality show "America's Got Talent" after two years. He will be replacing Howard Stern and filling up the vacant spot for the NBC reality show.

In a statement obtained by Today at their show on Oct. 22, Thursday Cowell announced his comeback as judge for "America's Got Talent" saying that it was a decision by the network while at the same time he also agreed of his interest saying "I kept sort of popping my head up saying, You know if you are looking for a very good-looking British judge who could sort of fit on this show, I know someone!"

Cowell who is also the executive producer of the top rated reality show will be now judging the contestants at their 11th season next summer. He skyrocketed to fame as the judge for nine seasons of Fox's "American Idol" and was last seen judging contestants at Fox's "The X Factor."

The reality show star judge feels that the show is the one of the best platforms globally to display talent. Moreover, with his experience as "British Got Talent" judge, Cowell also boasts of an extremely good track record with the franchise.

When questioned by the show host that being a father of two will make him more considerate towards the contestants, Cowell was prompt enough to reply with a masterpiece saying that he cannot be cordial to those who are incompetent.

It was Stern who had actually recommended Cowell as a deemed fit for "America's Got Talent," People reported. Stern resigned as a judge from the show in September post his four season stint.
