Despite getting a poor response in its debut run, "I Am Cait" has been renewed for a second season which is set to premiere in 2016.

The news has been confirmed by E! network whose executive vice president Jeff Olde claimed in an official statement that the show has triggered a global conversation on the transgender community on a  never-seen-before scale. He further added that the former Olympian will continue to share her ongoing story with the network.

"I Am Cait" is a docu-series which follow the life of Caitlyn Jenner, who was earlier known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing a sex transformation operation and famously revealed a new identity on the covers of Vanity Fair. The docu-series which aired in summer had shown her changing relationship with her daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and wife Kris Jenner while exploring her new relations with people of transgender community.

"Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian, her rapper husband Kanye West and sister Khloe Kardashian also made several appearances on the show. The recently concluded docu-series also showed the emergence of Caitlyn as the spokesperson of the transgender community.

The news of "I Am Cait" season 2 is also confirmed by Caitlyn herself.

 "I'm looking forward to continuing the conversation," said the 65-year-old in an official statement.

Meanwhile, Caitlyn will be soon embarking on a multiple-city speaking tour, entitled "Up Close and Personal," which will kick off next year, People reported. Although the specific details about the topic of her talk is yet to be confirmed, it is highly anticipated that she will touching on the issues of transgender community and her tour is most likely to be a big part of "I Am Cait" season 2.
