The three-time Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais will once again take the stage for the renowned awarding ceremony next year.

After hosting the dinner show for three consecutive years from 2010 to 2012, "The Office" creator returns with possibly more venomous lashes towards his celebrity targets.

In addition to the announcement of the Golden Globes' organizers, the President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association formally released his statement regarding the comedian by stating "His off-the-cuff wit and quirky charm will surely have the room and audiences around the world at the edge of their seats." as reported by Reuters.

The 54-year-old actor resorted to Twitter for his announcement by posting a photo with the caption, "Can't wait to host The Golden Globes again. My only guarantee is that not everyone will enjoy it as much as me."

The Golden Globes is one of the biggest and recognized awarding ceremonies in Hollywood and it will be broadcasted by television network NBC.

Previously hosted for the past three years by comedians Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association decided to bring back Gervais for the fourth time despite the criticisms he received after hosting in 2012.

Three years ago, Gervais commented on the paternal controversy of "What do you mean?" singer Justin Bieber and even joked about actress Jodi Foster's sexuality as reported by The Guardian.

While the 41-year-old comedian hosted the awards show for three years, Gervais also created and starred in the British version of the comedy show "The Office" in 2001. Gervais sold the show to US television and has been appearing in American movies such as "Muppets Most Wanted" and "Night at the Museum."

The actor has created other shows such as "Life's Too Short" and another comedy series titled "Extras."

In line with the Golden Globes host announcement, the organizers of the Oscars have also released that famous comedian Chris Rock would host the awarding ceremony in Feb. 2016.

The 73rd Golden Globes nominations will be unveiled on Dec. 10 while the show will be broadcasted on Jan. 10, 2016 on NBC.
