"America's Next Top Model's" first ever deaf contestant Nyle DiMarco recently revealed that his dog played a significant role in decision choosing between "ANTM" cycle 22 and "Switched at Birth" season 4.

"Well, right before 'ANTM,' I was offered a recurring role for the TV show 'Switched at Birth,'" DiMarco told MTV. "I had to pick one because both of the shows were happening at the same time."

DiMarco explained that he could not choose so decided to let his dog named Foxy decide and the dog picked "ANTM" cycle 22.

When asked about "ANTM" creator, host and judge Tyra Banks, who seems pretty into him, DiMarco said he believes having been asked to take his shirt off quite a few times is the former supermodel's way of telling him to embrace his sexiness and to really flaunt it.

According to DiMarco, he would cover himself up a lot prior to "ANTM" cycle 22. About "ANTM" cycle 22 recently announced as the final cycle of The CW reality TV show, the deaf actor and model said there were rumors here and there prior to the announcement.

For DiMarco, it was inevitable and "ANTM" had to end. He said he had a feeling that they would either announce that they would pick up Banks' The CW series for another cycle or cancel it for good.

While he is one of the frontrunners of the final cycle of "ANTM," DiMarco plays a recurring character named Garrett Banducci in a recently renewed ABC Family series. The network took time to renew "Switched at Birth" for a fifth season, which made the actors nervous.

"We were on pins and needles waiting to hear," DiMarco's "Switched at Birth" co-star Vanessa Marano told E! News.
