Android Marshmallow update has already rolled out to Google Nexus devices. At present, the electronics maker Motorola is preparing to roll out the latest update to its devices. Here is the Android Marshmallow release news for the Moto G (2nd generation), Moto G (3rd generation), Moto E, Moto X 2015 and Moto X 2014.

Motorola devices that will get the Android 6.0 M update are 2014 Moto Turbo, 2014 Moto Maxx, 2014 Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE2, 2014 Moto X in Latin America, Europe and Asia, 2014 Moto X Pure Edition in the United States, 2015 Moto G (third-gen), 2015 Moto X Play, 2015 Moto X Style (third-gen) and 2015 Moto X Pure Edition, according to Motorola blog.

Also, the electronics company has confirmed that the 2015 Moto X Pure Edition and 2014 Moto X Pure Edition will receive the newest update.

Fortunately, Moto G (2nd generation) and Moto G (3rd generation) will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update as soon as it is available.

There is no information on whether handsets within the Moto E Series will get the Android Marshmallow update or not.

According to several reports, the Android Marshmallow update has become available on Nexus 9, Nexus 7, Nexus 6, Nexus 5 and the Nexus Player. In addition, the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X comes with Android Marshmallow preinstalled.

After that, it is up to the companies, such as  HTC, LG, Motorola, Sony and Samsung, to implement the Android firmware. Users who bought unlocked devices will get the Android Marshmallow update first.

Majority of users in the US use handsets that can be used only with wireless service providers such as Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. So, those users will need to wait for the carriers to complete soak-testing before getting the Android Marshmallow update.

According to The Verge, Fingerprint support, Google Now on Tap, Doze and USB Type-C are some of the new features of Android Marshmallow.
