"New Girl" season 5 guest star Megan Fox is still being slammed by fans of Zooey Deschanel for playing the role of Reagan.
A few months back, executive producer Liz Meriweather confirmed that Fox will play the role of a smart and sexy pharmaceutical sales representative who will be renting out Jess' loft.
While Deschanel's character is away on jury duty, Reagan will keep the male characters on the show highly entertained.
According to Venture Capital Post, fans of "New Girl" and Deschanel didn't like Meriweather's decision to tap Fox.
Despite her explaining that she was really funny and entertaining in one of her previous films, fans are not convinced that Fox is the perfect fit for the hit FOX series.
Meanwhile, Deschanel is still on maternity leave at the moment so she will be missing multiple episodes of the show.
However, the funnywoman will still film one episode while she's attending to her baby.
"I'm super excited. Essentially, my character Jess gets on jury duty and has to be sequestered, so the roommates rent out her room for a few weeks," she told People.
In other news, Fox will reportedly divorce her husband of five years Brian Austin Green.
A source told the publication, "They will always love each other very much and are devoted to their kids. Anything could happen in the future, but for now they've decided it's best to take some time apart."
"New Girl" season 5 is currently in production and the series will premiere on FOX sometime next year.
