"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder is still feuding with his wife Nikki Reed over having kids in the next couple of years.
According to Ok! Magazine, Somerhalder told Reed that he wants to have kids with her, but the actress said that she doesn't want to give up her career just yet.
The publication even claimed that Somerhalder and Reed only look like they are a perfect couple on the outside, but they are dealing with a lot of issues behind closed doors these days.
"They're arguing a lot," a source told the publication.
"Nikki is ambitious and worries about derailing her career if she gets pregnant," the source added.
The actress' opinion on having kids sooner rather than later was very much different from her husband's stand.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight a few months back, Somerhalder said that he's really looking forward to building a family with Reed.
"It's a pretty crazy time and place to bring a child into this turbulent and insane world - but I really can't wait to do it and really just love it," he said.
Meanwhile, there are some rumors that Somerhalder will consider divorcing his wife if she won't agree to set her career aside and have their babies.
Some fans also believe that Somerhalder and his ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev will reunite romantically when this happens.
As of late, Dobrev is in a relationship with Austin Stowell, but Delana shippers on "The Vampire Diaries" believe the actress' relationship with her new boyfriend wouldn't last that long.
