The Black Cats were dumped by Everton, 6-2, in their last outing at the Goodison Park on November 1st as the Toffees' Ivorian striker Arouna Koné led his squad with a hat trick, as reported by BBC Sport.

The game is tied at 2-2 when Sunderland's Uruguayan defender Sebastián Coates made an own goal at the 55th minute, which instigated his team's downhill fate from then on.

Southampton was a 2-0 winner versus newly-promoted Bournemouth at the St. Mary's Stadium also on November 1st to score their third win in their last six matches, as per SkySports. The Saints are on a five-game unbeaten run with two drawn matches as well.

Midfielder Steven Davis and striker Graziano Pellè provided the two goals for Ronald Koeman's side both in the first half of play to lead early, but Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama was sent off with a second yellow at the 78th on an unnecessary tackle.

The Saints are on a roll right now and will overpower Allardyce's boys in both ends of the pitch to extend their streak to six.

The prediction is a 2-0 win for Southampton over Sunderland.
