It looks like Gotham City had gotten hope in "Gotham" Season 2 Episode 7.
Season 2 Episode 7 is entitled "Mommy's Little Monster." According to TV Fanatic, the episode saw James Gordon find his detective hat and figured out that Theo Galavan was an "evil scumbag." The publication said that things would have become different for Gertrud Cobblepot if Gordon had found his long-lost hat sooner.
Butch Gilzean also led Penguin Cobblepot to the place where his mother was, with Theo Galavan and Tabitha Galavan. Gilzean betrayed Penguin while Theo killed his mother. Penguin managed to escape and promised to kill Theo to avenge Gertrud.
Theo was also elected mayor and told GCPD and the public that Penguin hurt him so he ordered Harvey Dent to arrest Penguin. Gordon suspected that Theo was mounting Penguin and hunted down Gilzean. Gilzean revealed that Theo had been blackmailing Penguin and was the one who killed Penguin's mother.
Theo also attended a public meeting, ready to catch Penguin if he came. Penguin and his team arrived but was quickly taken down by Gordon. Theo told Gordon to shoot Penguin, but the latter managed to escape.
Meanwhile, Tabitha killed a GCPD strike force member while Edward Nygma's split personality tried to persuade him that he enjoys fleeing from killing. Then, the split personalities join together.
Meanwhile, Galavan sends Barbara out for revenge in "Gotham" Season 2 Episode 8, which is entitled "Tonight's the Night." According to Spoilers Guide, Episode 8 would see Theo send Barbara after Gordon, while he tried to make a business deal with Bruce Wayne. The episode will also see Barnes and Bullock, who were hot on Barbara's path while Nygma would encounter a familiar face.
"Gotham" Season 2 Episode 7, "Mommy's Little Monster" aired on Nov. 2 while Episode 8, "Tonight's the Night" airs on Nov. 9.
