The recent fallout between Hideo Kojima, the game creator and Konami, the game developer has greatly affected the fans of Metal Gear. After the controversial ending of the game, fans are looking forward to seeing another entry in the series, but the next possible title may lose its flair. It was recently found out that Konami has finally shut down an important team behind the development of "Metal Gear."

The rumors of the said studio being shut down started after a number of tweets of some game developers suggested that Konami has totally terminated the entire team. Sources that are close to the matter have also confirmed the disbandment of the development team to Eurogamer.

Konami started the studio in 2013. The team was tasked to develop the yet unreleased "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain." The aforementioned studio played a big role in the creation of the multiplayer mode of the "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," which is "Metal Gear Online," Engadget reported.

The news, however, did not surprise the many because a lot of previous reports stated the Kojima has already left Konami. In contrary, the company recently claimed that the creator is still working with them and is just having a long break.

The rumors started to circulate when a Konami employee attended a farewell party for the game creation. Konami, on the other hand, eventually made a statement that it is common for game developers to take long vacation after creating a title, Metro reported.

Nevertheless, the dispersal of the LA Studios could've been anticipated by many, most especially after Kojima, along with his team has been stripped of credits in "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain."
