Google's latest Android update, Marshmallow or Android 6.0, brings many new features to the ever-growing family of smartphones and tablets that run on Google mobile software. Among the many devices that Android 6.0 Marshmallow is rolling out to is LG G4.

LG began rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to LG G 4 in Poland last month, and now the update has started hitting the flagship in the company's home country, South Korea, according to GSM Arena.

Since Poland is not a major market for LG, last month's update roll out was just a test run. With the update running out in the main region of South Korea, it appears LG did not face any major obstacles with the update in the European country.

In South Korea, LG G4 devices with model numbers LG-F500K, LG-F500S, and LG-F500L, are currently receiving the update. The update brings features like the new Doze mode to the devices, which helps users save on the device battery, have enhanced permission management, and microSD support. Several LG apps including Q+ and Bridge have been renamed to Memo Capture + and AirDrive respectively.

Further goodies associated with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow include the Now on Tap that delivers contextual information or features based on the usage and a redesigned app drawer.

Meanwhile, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is already integrated on the new Google Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and HTC One A9. The update will hit on other phones in the near future, but the exact time depends on each handset manufacturer.

Fortunately, customers using the most recent Nexus devices like the Nexus 6 smartphone and the Nexus 7 tablet will receive the update in a few days to come, CNET reported. However, other smartphone users will have to be patient for a few more weeks or even months.
