Android Marshmallow is rolling out in its final form; however, one question that comes to mind is that when other Android-based devices will get the latest update. Here is the Android Marshmallow release news for HTC One M8, HTC One M9, HTC One M7 and other devices.
According to reports, the HTC devices that will get the Android Marshmallow update include HTC Desire 816, Desire 820, Desire 826, One M8 Eye, One M8, Butterfly 3, One ME, One E9, One E9 Plus, One M9 Plus and One M9. HTC's Jason Mackenzie said that the HTC One M8 and HTC One M9 will get the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update before the end of 2015.
Also, according to recent reports, the Taiwan-based company could be preparing to release the HTC One M8 Android Marshmallow update pretty soon. It appears that the update software build for the HTC One M8 has appeared in a Bluetooth SIG certification, meaning it has got its certification for the connectivity protocol and is likely ready to go.
Unfortunately, the Android Marshmallow update status for HTC One M7 is still unknown.
Furthermore, even after HTC starts rolling out the latest update to its devices, it will take time for the carriers in the United States to roll out the Android 6.0 M update. This is because US carriers must first put the Marshmallow update through a soak test before release.
T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint and AT&T have not announced yet when their versions of HTC devices will get the latest update.
The search giant Google has rolled out the Android Marshmallow update to its Nexus devices. These include the Nexus 9, Nexus 7, Nexus 5 and Nexus 6. The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P comes pre-installed with Android M, according to Pocket-lint.
