Chelsea has given their manager Jose Mourinho a sigh of relief after their Champions league 2-1 win over Dynamo Kiev from Ukraine at Stamford Bridge after a barren draw on Oct. 20.

The win against Dynamo Kiev has given Jose Mourinho's confidence a boost since there were speculations that he had to salvage himself before the international break given that it is 2 games away, ESPN reported.

In his post-match interview after the win, Jose Mourinho acknowledged that it was a big relief not just for the team, but also for him. He was happy that the fans were with the team during the hard times and good times; he termed it as not normal since they did not throw papers or booed the team.

Chelsea has been on a poor form lately encountering losses in recent times this season making their manager come under fire from all quarters from fans, stakeholders and the media. Chelsea, which is currently ranked 15 on the English Premier league, has only managed one win in 6 weeks since their away-win at Walsall and this has sparked a lot of ridicule on social media.

This confidence boost for Chelsea and particularly Jose Mourinho might be short lived since they face Stoke City away at the Britannia stadium on Saturday, Nov, 7, 2015. Their last meeting was closely contested last week and Chelsea lost on post-match penalties, BBC reported.

Another bummer is the fact that Jose Mourinho will not be on the bench during that match since he is serving a one-game stadium ban after facing two charges of misconduct from the football association.
