Surprise team Ecuador (2-0-0, 6 points) will look to extend its two-game winning run against tough squad Uruguay (2-0-0, 6 points) at the Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa in Quito on November 12th, Thursday as the CONMEBOL 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers carry on.

Both squads are unbeaten in their first two games of the qualifying tournament and one of them will suffer their first loss in this crucial match.

Ecuador pulled off a shock in their opener against Argentina, 2-0, at the Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti in Buenos Aires last October 8 then strangled lowly team Bolivia, 2-0 as well, at their home stadium of Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa in their next game on October 13, via Goal.

Against La Verde, La Tri's striker duo of Miler Bolaños and Felipe Caicedo scored a goal each at the 81st and 90th+5 minutes to give the victory and three points to Gustavo Quinteros' side.

Meanwhile, Uruguay blanked Bolivia, 2-0, and Colombia, 3-0, in their first two outings to stay undefeated after two match days.

Team captain Diego Godín led Los Charrúas in the blowout win over Los Cafeteros, opening the scoring at the 34th before strikers Diego Rolán and Abel Hernández added a goal apiece at the 51st and 87th, as reported by Yahoo Sports.

It's a tough to call the winner in this match between two streaking squads, but Óscar Tabárez's side has more talent and experience than their opponents even without their two leading men, Barcelona's Luis Suárez and Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani.

The predicted result is a tough 2-1 win for Uruguay.
