Fiat Chrysler's luxury brand Alfa Romeo is in for some exciting rivalry with the newly established luxury brand Genesis from South Korean auto manufacturer Hyundai.

Market analysts are now very keen as to which brand will perform better in terms of sales once they hit the market. While Alfa Romeo is already a classic, tested and proven brand, analysts said that the new Hyundai Genesis is something that should not be trifled with as well.

Alfa Romeo is a celebrated global brand. However, its recent sales statistics could prove that the once renowned brand might be slowly deteriorating. Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has big plans for the brand when they release it in China. The only problem is that the plan was pulled out before a single car was even sold. According to Auto News, Alfa Romeo did not comment about the situation on the Chinese market but Fiat Chrysler CEO Marchionne said that they are going to re-examine the brand's global expansion plans.

On the other hand, Hyundai's plan to pin their hopes of climbing the ranks of the luxury car market on the Genesis might sound a bit ambitious. The only difference compared to the case of Alfa Romeo is that the Hyundai Genesis is slowly gaining traction in terms of sale and market mileage.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the original Hyundai Genesis won the 2009 North American Car of the Year. The second generation Hyundai Genesis went on head-to-head on the market with well-established brands like the Audi A6 and the Lexus GS.
