Sony President of Worldwide Studios told Digital Spy during the Paris Games Week, "We have an idea [of the launch date], but there are things we want to make sure. It's similar to any platform launch. As far as hardware development is concerned, it's going great. But the people working hard now are the system software people"

Another big question that has bugged fans and critics alike is which video game titles will support PlayStation VR at launch. Several developers have already declared their intentions to port their games into virtual reality but Sony has kept a quite word about it. Rebellion Developments, known for its "Sniper Elite" franchise, claimed that it is working on a remake of an Atari arcade classic game "Battlezone" that will be launched along with the PlayStation VR, according to IT Pro.

As for the PlayStation VR's specs, it has a 5.7-inch OLED display with 1920x1080 resolution with 120Hz refresh rate and latency under 18ms. It has, approximately, 100-degree field of view. The headset has 3D audio with mic input and stereo mini jack. It also has a gyroscope, an accelerometer and nine LEDs used for head tracking.

The PlayStation VR is powered by the PlayStation 4. Although Sony has yet to confirm the official price of the virtual reality headset, speculations claim that since the PlayStation 4 currently sells for $350, a bundle with the PlayStation VR should put its price somewhere in the $400 margin.
