Winless team Peru (0-0-2, 0 points) takes on unbeaten squad Paraguay (1-0-1, 4 points) in the final CONMEBOL 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers Matchday 3 affair at the Estadio Nacional in Lima on Friday, November 13th.
The hosts opened the tourney with a 0-2 loss versus Colombia last October 8 at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez in Barranquilla and then dropped another one to Chile, 3-4, in a more inspired effort at their home turf in Lima, as per Daily Mail Online.
Winger Jefferson Farfán had a brace in the first half while veteran striker Paolo Guerrero added one in injury time to complete a three-goal haul for La Blanquirroja in a losing effort against the defending Copa America champions.
Paraguay has yet to drop a game in the tourney with a 1-0 win over Venezuela in their opener at the Estadio Cachamay in Ciudad Guayana last October 8 and forcing a goalless draw with tournament-favorite Argentina at the Estadio Defensores del Chaco in Asunción, via Bleacher Report.
With the draw, Los Guaraníes denied the FIFA world no. 3 team their first win of the competitions to remain winless after two tries.
Ramón Díaz's men are expected to make the most of their superior lineup against the Ricardo Gareca's squad, although La Blanquirroja is capable of pulling off an upset.
The predicted result is a 2-1 win for Paraguay.
