On Friday the 13th, this large, mysterious object will blaze up the sky as it enters the Earth's atmosphere.

Scientists have identified a mysterious object that is hurtling toward Earth, falling from space, measuring some two meters or about 6.5 feet in diameter.

This object is called WT1190F where many speculate that this object is some sort of space debris or junk, most likely a rocket part floating in space, which will now enter Earth, but will pose almost no danger to humans when it makes final impact.

The European Space Agency says that this space object is flying too low to be classified as a natural space rock, however this can be compared to a hollow shell, similar to an upper stage of a rocket.

If this object is indeed man made debris from space junk, then this could originate from recently manufactured rockets or even something from the Apollo missions.

However, this space object is relatively large that some parts of it will not be completely burned by Earth's atmosphere upon entry, where it will land without causing any harm some 100 kilometers off the coast of southern Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean on November 13, at an estimated time of 1:20 A.M. EST.

According to ESA's Near-Earth Object Coordination Center, the sky show during that time is predicted to become spectacular where the object will burn quite brightly for a few seconds even at high noon, local time in Sri Lanka.

This event is also a perfect opportunity to test the readiness of space agencies for a possible atmospheric entry and even strong impacts in the future that involves asteroids and comets which is highly similar to this WT1190F event.
