Any popular game is bound to have an exploit that fans will discover or stumble upon while playing. Bethesda's newly released title, "Fallout 4" is no exception.

One of the biggest changes thought to make "Fallout 4" a strategic grinding game is in leveling up the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system. This system is supposed to empower a player's character uniquely, since every ability gives the player a different boost, and a mixture of what S.P.E.C.I.A.L. ability to level up can be its own way of customizing a character.

However, it appears that an exploit in the game can easily level up a character's skill set with no need for intensive grinding. In fact, players can even max out the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system within minutes of playing "Fallout 4," Gamerant reported.

The secret, it seems, likes with Dog Meat, the player's companion. The exploit can be found in the crib following players leaving Vault 111. There is a "You're SPECIAL" book that will easily raise one random point in the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system. But using Dog Meat, players can get as many number of SPECIAL books as needed to upgrade all S.P.E.C.I.A.L. skills.

It appears that Dog Meat will have to pick up the item, while the players will have to time this moment so they can also try to get the book. If successful, the player will get two copies. According to the Redditor who had discovered the glitch, this exploit works for all versions of "Fallout 4."

Granted, most developers deal with exploits and glitches once fans start making use of them by the dozen. Considering that this is not the only one that has been discovered so far, patches may start coming in soon to fix the game.

In the meantime, one fan has done a nice touch to "Fallout 4." Instead of being satisfied with the template design of Dog Meat in the game, one modder had created a mod that replaces Dog Meat to a close design of his own pup, Kotaku reported. The design is merely a re-texturing instead of a mod, as the creator revealed that this was not done from the ground up.
