"Legends of Tomorrow" will feature five rumored characters joining the show and a first look at Hawkman and Hawkgirl in the upcoming "Arrow" and "The Flash" crossover.

The plot synopsis for the new "Arrow" and "The Flash" crossover episodes will feature two DC heroes, Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) and Carter Hall/Hawkman (Falk Hentchel) as the first part of the crossover will be shown in "The Flash" season 2 episode "Legends of Today" as Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) will face the immortal villain, Vandal Savage (Casper Crump). Savage plans on capturing Kendra Saunders and Barry realizes he needed help, so he went to Star City and asked Oliver Queen/Green Arrow and Team Arrow for help and to make matters worse Hawkman shows up and abducts Kendra.

The second part of the crossover takes place in "Arrow" season 4 episode "Legends of Yesterday" as Green Arrow, The Flash and Hawkman come up with a plan to stop rescue Hawkgirl from Vandal Savage. Both Team Arrow and Flash work together to build a weapon that will take down Savage, while Oliver, Barry and Carter seek help from Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) to set up a meeting with the immortal villain.

It seems that the crossover episodes will eventually set up the events for the pilot episode "Legends of Tomorrow" since both Hawkman and Hawkgirl are present in the show and returning characters such as Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz), Ray Palmer/The Atom (Brandon Routh) and Firestorm (Victor Garber and Franz Drameh) have been established.

Executive producer Phil Klemmer told ComicBookResources the main characters in "Legends of Tomorrow" will not just save the world and stop Vandal Savage's plans in destroying time itself, but will also explore more of each character flaws in the show. Audiences saw how broken Sara Lance is after she was resurrected and tries to find herself, while "The Flash" villains Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heatwave (Dominic Purcell) will try to find some semblance of goodness and humanity within them.

In other news, five DC heroes are rumored to join the cast of "Legends of Tomorrow" as fans wanted to see characters like Katana, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, The Question and Doctor Fate in the show, Moviepilot reported.

Booster Gold was previously rumored to be part of "Legends of Tomorrow" due to him being Rip Hunter's (Arthur Darvill) son, but was not included by the showrunners. It is rumored that Booster Gold will be having a standalone live-action film and he will be joined by "Blue Beetle" Ted Kord.

Katana (Rila Fukushima) first appeared in "Arrow" season 3 as an unexpected ally of Oliver Queen and Team Arrow and fans wanted her in the team as they want to explore more about the character. Doctor Fate would also make a good addition to the team since he has mystical powers, while the Question could feel in the role of a detective and a moral compass of the team.

Other rumored characters joining the show includes Connor Hawke, Jonah Hex, Arsenal and Killer Frost.

"Legends of Tomorrow" is speculated to premiere in January 2016 on the CW Network.
