Not long ago, Huawei released its 5-inch smartphone, known as Honor 6, that packs with  high-end specs at an affordable price tag. Due to the high demand of affordable smartphones, the company then decided to release another ground-breaking, top of the line handset that will surely please tech-buffs.

Huawei, China-based smartphone manufacturer, officially launched its Honor 6 Plus smartphone in Beijing, China yesterday, Dec. 16, 2014. Huawei is known to be the 3rd largest smartphone manufacturer behind Samsung and Apple.

Honor 6 Plus has an unusual resemblance with Apple's iPhone 6 Plus, thus it is dubbed as an iPhone 6 Plus clone. The new smartphone from the tech-giant sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display that features 1080 x 1920 full HD resolution at 401 ppi.

According to GSM Arena, this smartphone is equipped with HiSilicon Kirin 925 chipset, a snappy quad-core Cortex A15 and quad-core Cortex-A7, Mali-T628 MP4 GPU and 3GB of RAM . Since Huawei is using its own chipset, Kirin 925 is able to support 4G LTE CAT.6 connectivity that is capable of 300Mbps downlink.

The smartphone is being offered in 16GB/32GB variation and has MicroSD card slot that supports additional storage of up to 128GB MicroSD. Honor 6 Plus runs on Android KitKat with 3.0 Emotion UI and is powered by a Li-Po 3,600mAh battery that is good for long hours of talk time.

A notable feature that Honor 6 Plus has is its dual 8 megapixel rear snapper and 8 megapixel front camera, Engadget reports. The dual rear snapper is one of its kind and will surely attract people who loves taking pictures.

Just like any other Huawei smartphones, this handset is considered budget friendly knowing that it features high-end specs. Huawei's Honor 6 Plus is priced at CNY 1,999 ($320) for its 3G Edition, while the 4G version is priced at 2,499 ($400).
