"iZombie" star Rose McIver takes extra precaution to keep her skin's super porcelain complexion so as to suit her character of a brain-eating zombie, Liv Moore.
The actress was talking to Los Angeles Confidential when she revealed that the secret behind her flawless clear complexion is the regular use of sunscreen and hats.
"Sunscreen and hats. I have to be very sun-smart," said the 27-year-old actress on being quizzed about her beauty regimen. The actress further added that since she was born and brought up in New Zealand, where "there is where there is a hole in the ozone layer," she was always careful and used to protect her skin from the sun as much as possible.
Revealing the secret behind the long blonde locks of her character, the actress disclosed that she uses a wig while shooting since she has short hair.
McIver admittedly makes sure to get her beauty sleep to portray the role of the breathtakingly beautiful zombie. The actress also credited the show's makeup designer Amber Trudeau for finding the perfect balance between beauty and being a zombie.
Meanwhile, "iZombie" season 2 episode 6 ended on a sad note for Liv and Major (Robert Buckley) since Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli) has recently determined through an experiment involving different condom brands that Liv's zombie-ness can be transmitted through sexual intercourse.
"iZombie" season 2 episode 7 is expected to show Major distancing himself from Liv, apparently due to the latest finding, International Business Times reported.
The previous episodes have shown Major killing and storing all the zombies in the freezer, including Angus DeBeers (Robert Knepper), father of Liv's frenemy, Blaine (David Anders). Since the character had a strong presence in the show, it is highly speculated that someday, all the zombies will get up and seek revenge from Major.
