Because of Justin Bieber's broken relationship with his mother Pattie Mallette, Selena Gomez is pushing the Canadian singer to reconcile with his mother.

On Nov. 5, Justin admitted to Billboard that his relationship with his 39-year-old mother is "pretty nonexisting" since he is aware that he has disappointed her so many times and is scared of talking to her. Being a born-again Christian, Pattie would likely remind him of the Christian upbringing she tried to instill on her 21-year-old son while growing up.

The push by Selena is because she is a believer in the importance of the family and she thinks that Justin, whom she believes is going through a lot - based on his cancellation of appearances in two events for which he tweeted apologies - and would benefit from a mother's counsel and love, reports Hollywood Life.

Pattie, on her part, continues to reach out to her estranged son by tweeting congratulatory message on Monday when he broke the 51-year-old record of the Beatles for having the most songs on Billboard Hot 100 chart, led by "Sorry."

E! News notes that based on the number of times that Justin has publicly apologized for the many wrong things he has done the past few years, it is but fitting that "Sorry" would be his flagship track. The entertainment listed the top 8 apologies of Justin, excluding his tweets to the Colbert Late Show for not appearing on the Wednesday episode and the organizers of the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Among the things that Justin had apologized are racist jokes in 2014, past behavior including DUI and throwing eggs, posting his bare butt photo on Instagram, saying he did not know singer Shawn Mendes, arriving two hours late for a London show, ranting about Lindsay Lohan and storming offstage that resulted in the televised performance cut short.
