For Thanksgiving, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg did not post a photo of their turkey dinner. He instead posted on Saturday a photo of the family pet dog Beast in a mid-air jump.

However, because Beast is a Hungarian sheepdog characterized by long white thick hair that looks like dreadlocks, the photo appears like a white fur ball levitating. Zuckerberg captioned the photo, which has gotten almost 500,0000 likes in 13 hours and generated more than 600 responses, "In the spirit of this holiday weekend, I want to share the most joyful photo of Beast jumping I've ever seen. Even after living with this guy for five years, seeing him bounce around still makes me smile. I hope your holiday weekend has been joyful too."

Noah Kalina, a professional photographer, took Beast's photo in 2014, Zuckerberg shares. Beast, in fact, has his own Facebook page with more than 2 million followers.

Because of the dog's very thick fur, Zuckerberg says that Beast avoids swimming whenever possible. But on occasion when the pet gets wet, it takes three hours to dry his fur using high-powered fans. If they don't dry him, it would take days for Beast's fur to dry naturally and he runs the risk of getting mildew before the fur dries.

With Priscilla Chan, Mark's wife, set to give birth soon, Beast is assured he still has a special place in the family home based on a Nov. 21 photo posted by Zuckerberg showing him near the baby pram that awaits its owner.
